Moving forward I bought a website on Google Spaces named GreenChabi.com. I am wanting to add the information about what I am doing in my neighborhood that aligns with my Sustainability Philosophy. Some organizations I work with are Friends of the Fox River, Boys and Girls Club, and our annual St. Patrick's Day Parade committee that works to raise money for Friends of the Fox and a local food pantry.

Using my research from my thesis I am forming a lesson plan involving ones indigeneity as it relates to first nations Indigenous peoples in the Americas.

Suggestions from my students for my Ap and future prototypes. I made a discussion thread for them to give me ideas as I share with them my journey to my Doctorate.

  • I'm not an entrepreneur so take literally everything I say with a grain of salt. But!!
I think you should identify where these places are sourcing their items from, whether it be food or other goods. If possible, I think it'd be cool if you could also identify if the business has open opinions on sustainability. From my understanding, a local business on main street (I think they might've moved) called Peace Offerings used to be very about sustainability. Maybe put a star next to their name in the app. I think there should also be like + or - next to the hearts so that people who use the app can agree/disagree with the global rating. Verified users could make comments on their experience and why they think the place deserves a better or worse sustainability rating. And! If you're interested in going the extra mile, maybe you could do an extra tab on "how to be sustainable as a business". I hope this helps somewhat + if you need clarification on what I'm thinking I'm totally willing to explain again!!
  • I think the app should show pictures of the business, where it's located, and what the business does for us.
  • I would want to see if the place is clean and if the technology they use in the business is up to date. Also if the customer service is good and if they treat everyone with respect. I would want to see if the safety of the business is good like if they have cameras. Also if the prices of the things or resteruant food that they are selling is relateable and similar to other restaurant or other business prices and if they compare.
  • the app should show the rating of how sustainable is the business, how they treat the environment and the customers,  and depending on how good is the business has been sustainable it wins the number of green hearths that deserves.
  • I think the green hearts are great I would say instead of the 4 or 5 hearts that you should do like 1-5 hearts making 5 and 4 the best ones and 1 the worst one. If I were to make an app I would want to know what the business does and how they stay sustainable and where you can locate that local business because people are interested in local businesses that are suitable for them and sustainable. I would also look for good service and their things are up to date and a clean business I would look at prices see if that certain is worth the money.
